Dr. Cugat is an internationally-renowned expert in Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma Medicine and specialises in the world of sports. He is an expert in knee injuries and pioneered arthroscopic operations in Spain.​ He was a member of the team of orthopaedic surgeons during the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. In 2000, he began using Growth Factors as part of his treatments​ and since 2013 he has specialised in using stem cells to repair anterior cruciate ligament and cartilage injuries. Throughout his professional career, he has been linked to the football world, treating thousands of players in all categories.
